I have used bleach in the past and it works but it's harsh on the skin and wrecks things.
Tomato juice and vinegar don't work.
I mean they really don't work.

but you forgot something important:
add this potent mixture **to a gallon of warm water**
i've used this mix for 30+ years on skunked animals/areas. you just have to be VERY careful not to get it in eyes, ears and nose/mouth of pets when cleaning them up. and rinse it off well!!! I have also used this on my house and car and trash cans, which have all gotten skunked too. it can lighten carpets, paint, and PETS - so be careful! -

not mix them all together, then add that mixture to water
(as my prior wording unintentionally suggested)
